The International School of Akkar is set in the beautiful hills of Jibrayel in the north of Lebanon. It was founded by Dr. Daniel Younis for the purpose of spreading education in Akkar and for broadening the horizons of its youth.

 
 

ISA Teachers Attend Professional Development Sessions

Three of our teachers, Elvire, Hiba, and Fida attended professional development courses given by the International College in OUr Lady of Balamand High School in Koura. They attended sessions on Techniques And Tools of the 21st Century Art, Issues With Reading, and Understanding By Design

 
 

University Orientation Day

On January 24, we hosted a group of universities from all over Lebanon to expose students to higher academic study options. Schools in the area were invited to attend and we were happy to receive their students.

"Ana Ma Bkeb" Intitiative at ISA

As part of the "Ana Ma Bkeb" initiative, Ms. Layla Zahed gave a talk to our elementary students on the value of  not littering and keeping Lebanon clean. ISA will be participating in the garbage bins painting competition.

ISA Students Help on Adha

On the occasion of Al Adha, our students collected non perishable food items from their homes and packaged them for donation to the community.

 
 

Visit to Salwa Raouda Choucair Exhibition

To get to know more about one of Lebanon's great artists, our students visited the Salwa Raouda Choucair exhibition at the Beirut Exhibition Center at Biel. Salwa Raouda Choucair's life and work is an inspiration to us all.
